ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
We are Windsor’s FIRST and longest standing CrossFit program for people ages 50+! Our classes focus on full body strength, heart-healthy cardio and overall flexibility. Every time you come in, the workout is different so things always stay fresh and FUN! Our program was created by Coach Kim Crevatin (CFL2, NFLA Gold Standard) to help bring vitality to our aging population. If you are looking for a community of like minded individuals who put their health first, you found the right place.
The best part? Your first week is always free.
Classes run Monday - Friday @ 8:30am and are ONE HOUR in duration.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A TYPICAL CLASS:
Our classes are one hour in duration and are fully coached from beginning to end by a highly certified CrossFit coach. The typical flow is as follows:
0:00 - 15:00 THE WARM UP
Each class begins with a through warm up! We gently increase our heart rate, stretch our bodies out to prepare for the workout of the day and go over all upcoming exercises. You will never feel “lost” or confused about what to do.
15:00 - 30:00 THE STRENGTH WORK
The workout is different every day, however most days we do some form of strength work. This can include squats, pressing, pulling, core work - etc! Coach Kim is very diligent with her programming and ensures it is well balanced for all participants involved. Everyone lifts weights that are appropriate for their current level of fitness - starting at 0 pounds (literally) and increasing as they become more capable. Everything is well guided by our coaches.
30:00 - 50:00 THE CARDIO
The workout is different every day, however we always do cardio. We like to keep our hearts healthy! These cardio pieces range in time duration and can include any number of exercises, but everything is always covered in the warm up, so you will know exactly what to do.
50:00 - 60:00 THE COOL DOWN
We always end with a stretch to bring our heart rates down gradually and keep our muscles and joints healthy!
